Pinball Showdown to Release at Origins
Today Shoot Again Games announced that they have moved up the official Pinball Showdown release day to June 15th at Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio. Originally Pinball Showdown was slotted for an August shipping to backers and a public release during GenCon 50. "I always use the upper end of the delivery dates I'm promised during production and then factor in another month for unknowns". Diane Sauer said. "This time the pinball gods must have been on my side because everything came in well ahead of schedule".
In Pinball Showdown explore the exciting world of pinball from a pinball's eye view. The game is for two, three, or four players who drive their pinball into a wide array of playfield devices in order to score the most points. Players must maintain a critical balance between speed, which determines which devices they can score, and control, which helps them decide which devices they can hit. Player's who manage these resources the most effectively can score special combinations which gives them bonus points and also triggers wizard mode which can lead to even greater scoring opportunities. Once multiball times out or a player's pinball drains, scores are added up to determine who is the real pinball wizard.
For the June 15th Pinball Showdown release at Origins Game Fair Shoot Again Games will be giving out bonus cards to anyone who purchases the game. In addition and limited to the first one hundred purchases a bonus turn tracker chart with an actual vintage arcade token will be added in. Lastly, the first one hundred player to demo Pinball Showdown at Shoot Again Games booth (#158) will receive a free real pinball.
